Scrutiny Committee of KONTRAPUNKT 2008 XLIII Small Theatre Forms Festival in the following composition:- Izabela Krupa

following
opening of the voting urn and counting the votes have concluded that:
members of the festival audience cast the total of 95 votes, including
94 valid 1 invalid, for 13 out of the 14 theatrical plays competing in
KONTRAPUNKT 2008 Small Theatre Forms Festival.THE GRAND PRIX, i.e. THE GREAT AUDIENCE AWARD,
comprised of the cash prize in the amount of PLN 10,000 and the statute
funded by the President of the City of Szczecin, shall be awarded to
the theatrical piece under the title of Nordost staged by Hieronim Konieczko Polish Theater in Bydgoszcz and directed by Grażyna Kania.
The other theatrical pieces won the following number of votes:- past is in front of ego – büro für zeit from Berlin – 13 votes
- Cuttlas, anatomia rewolwerowca [Cuttlas, Gunslinger’s Anatomy] Produccions Essencials & Acetato Teatro – 12 votes
- Brzydal [Ugly Man] – Stefan Jaracz Theatre in Łódź – 10 votes
- Wierszalin. Reportaż o końcu świata [Wierszalin, Reportage about End of the Word] – Wierszalin Theatre in Supraśl – 9 votes
- Żyd [A Jew] – Polish Theatre in Bielsko Biała – 7 votes
- Idiotki [Idiots] – Modern Theatre in Szczecin – 6 votes
- Klątwa [Curse] – H. Modrzejewska National Theatre in Kraków – 5 votes
- Homo Polonicus – Provisorium & Kompania Theatre– 3 votes
- Diktatorengattinnen I [Dictarors’ wives] Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz from Berlin – 3 votes

OF KONTRAPUNKT 2008 XLIII SMALL THEATRE FORMS FESTIVAL IN SZCZECIN
The
Jury in the following composition: Paweł Miśkiewicz (President), Anna
R. Burzyńska, Dominka Ostałowska, Wojciech Marczewski, and Jacek St.
Buras, having viewed the 14 competing theatrical plays, unanimously
agreed to distribute the following awards:Award of Minister of Culture in the amount of PLN 10,000 to theatrical play directed by Beniamin Verdonck under the title of Wewilllivestorm presented by Toneelhuis & Nieuwpoorttheater Theatre (currently Campo) from Gandava – for the best smallest theatre form.
Magnolia Award – Award of the City of Szczecin in the amount of PLN 5,000 to the performers of the play directed by Marcin Wierzchowski under the title Idiotki
[Idiots] presented by The Modern Theatre in Szczecin: Maria Dąbrowska,
Małgorzata Klara, and Marta Waldera – for their brave struggle with
cultural stereotypes of woman and actress.
Award of Zachodniopomorskie Province Marshall in the amount of PLN 6,000 to the performers of theatrical play directed by Nicolas Stemann under the title Über Tiere: Elfriede Jelinek from Deutsches Theater in Berlin – for sublime play with social stereotypes of femininity and masculinity.
Zygmunt Duczyński Award for the Most Outstanding Artistic Personality of the Festival in the amount of PLN 3,000 for Gregory Stauffer for his performance in past is in front of ego directed by Anne Hirth and presented by büro für zeit + raum theatre in Berlin.
Kazimierz Krzanowski Promotional Award in the amount of PLN 2,500 to Barbara Wysocka for her artistic interpretation of Klątwa [The Curse] by Stanisław Wyspiański, representing The National Old Theatre in Kraków.
Award of Friends of Szczecin in the amount of PLN 1,500 to Barbara Marszałek for her beautiful role in Brzydal [Ugly Man] by M. von Mayenburg, directed by Grzegorz Wiśniewski from Stanisław Jaracz Theatre in Łódź.
Honorouble Mentions in the amount of PLN 1,000 to Katarzyna Krzanowska for her interpretation of the character of Młoda [Young Woman] in Klątwa [The Curse], and to Sabina Tumidalska
for her performance as Staruszka [Old Woman] in Był sobie POLAK, POLAK,
POLAK i diabeł [There was a POLE, POLE, POLE and the Devil].
